Last Friday was a special day for our family (which, incidentally, none of us remembered until today :P) because on March 26th, it was exactly 6 MONTHS since we left Canada!!
Wow, that seems so insane! So many things have happened since we've left, and yet it seems like just yesterday that I was bawling my eyes out at the Vancouver airport.
I miss all of my friends in Canada just as much as ever, and I love you guys like crazy; I'm also loving all my awesome new friends here in South Africa, I probably wouldn't be surviving away from home without you guys!!
See you next year Canada :)

- This is the story of mine and my family's journey across the world to live and work in rural Africa. In September 2009 we left Canada, and after a few months of traveling (England, Greece, Egypt, Uganda!), we arrived in South Africa, where we lived for nearly a year before moving back down to Uganda for a brief transition period. After several months spent in Uganda, we finally left for Zimbabwe, to pioneer our own ministry focusing on child headed househoulds and AIDs orphans. Since then I (Erin) and my sister have moved back to Canada to go to school, but the rest of the family is still in Zimbabwe, working hard... we're all excited to see what God has in store for the ministry next!
