Moving Day..

Well, we're moving on Monday... and have I even started packing? Nope!

Oh well, I'll manage. I may be packing all night Sunday, but I'll figure it out.

Yesterday was our last official day with Hands at Work, and they said goodbye to us during the morning meeting. People said lovely, complimentary things about our family, and then they prayed for us, it was so sweet ;)

And now a funny story from Moses! :)

Today he came to an insightful conclusion about marriage during this conversation with my dad:

Moses: You married Mummy?

Dad: Yep, I did.

Moses: When I grow up can I get married?

Dad: Sure.

Moses: Is it expensive to get married?

Dad: Why would you think that?

Moses: ... Well... phones are expensive.

Dad: (pause) Yes, they are.. ?

Moses: Mhm.

Riight, of course! Makes perfect sense.

Just Another Rainy Day~

~Rainy Day~

Oh it's another Rainy Day,
Another excuse for me to hide away,
Fog on the window I write your name,
Oh it's another Rainy day.

Outside a cloud is forming,
In my heart the rain is pouring down,
Endlessly
The Sky is Gray Just like me,
Just like me.

Oh it's another Rainy Day
The sun isn't out to scare the Dark away
Step outside to try to wash you away

Oh it's another rainy day,
Outside a cloud is forming,
In my heart the rain is pouring down,
Endlessly
The Sky is Gray Just like me,
All my Tears Flood the streets.

The sky is gray just like me,
Just like me.

Well it's cold and it's gloomy,
What are you doing to me?
Is the storm ever breaking?
If Only you could make it stop raining

Outside a cloud is forming,
In my heart the rain is pouring down,
Endlessly
The Sky is Gray Just like me

All my tears flood the streets
The sky is gray just like me,
Just like me.

Oh it's another rainy day,
Just like me.
Just like

Oh it's another rainy day...

~Big Bad World~

It's a big bad world
Were doing what we can
Sometimes we fall on our face
Before we even learn to stand
But we get back up
Shake off all the dust
And take it step by step

I can fill the whole floor to the ceiling
With all the dead wrong choices I've made
And even though we try to learn
From each others mistakes

We'll do it again (doing it again)
We'll do it again my friend (doing it again)
We'll do it again and again
Till we eventually can change
The way it's always been

It's a big bad dream
Following your heart
Sometimes the one you
Need's the one that tears you apart
So you say goodbye
And cry the whole way home

I can fill up the driest river
With all the tears falling off of my face
And even though we try to learn
From each others mistakes

We'll do it again (doing it again)
We'll do it again my friend (doing it again)

We'll do it again and again
Till we eventually can change
The way its always been [x2]

Just running 'round in circles
Tripping over every hurdle
Were just trying to do the best that we can

It's a big bad life
All that we can do
Is try to make it right
Tomorrow something new
So if a big rain cloud
Follows you around
Don't let it get you down

We'll do it again (doing it again)
We'll do it again my friend (doing it again)
We'll do it again and again
Till we eventually can change
The way its always been

(Oh) we'll do it again (doing it again)
We'll do it again my friend (doing it again)
We'll do it again and again
Till we eventually can change
The way its always been (doing it again)

We do it again and again
Till we eventually can change
The way it's always been

Sudwala Caves

As promised, here are the pictures from Sudwala caves :) These are said to possibly be the oldest caves in the world, they were amazing!

The rock structure on the ceiling made the shape of Africa!! Can you see it? (looking at the tip)

"Three Praying Nuns"

"King Kong" (scratching his head)

"Devil's Chimney"

The tiny stalactite in the middle of the picture, known as the 'baby' was 300 years old already!

Stopping for a drink on the way back.

A Horrible Realization

My room is a mess. True, it's 90% Megan's stuff, but still.

As I was looking at it yesterday in horror, I suddenly realized that not only do we have to clean up our little house, with our moving date coming NEXT WEEKEND, we also have to pack everything up... in the next five days.

Ah how lovely. And not only do we have to tidy up AND pack, we also have to pack, keeping Uganda in mind. So we have to pack for two places at once. And once we arrive in Uganda we will be back to living out of a suitcase until the rest of our stuff arrives.

Ok so it's not exactly the most horrible of things, but I'm not really looking forward to all this :(

**Pictures coming later on of what are thought to be the oldest caves/rock structures in the world! Pretty sweet!**

New Pictures!

I finally found a camera battery charger! I won't get it until we get to Uganda, but still, that's better than nothing. It includes a battery charger, a car charger, and an adaptor, and it only costs $19! And since a friend at home is willing to pick it up for me and take it to PA (where they will send it along with the next visitors to Kibaale) I don't have to pay for shipping! So its great news.. now I just have to figure out how to get my poor computer screen fixed :(

Anyway, here are some pictures from Mother's Day :)

Happy Mother's Day

I'd just like to say a big Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there, and especially to my wonderful mum :)
We love you :)

...

And here are a few pictures from Josh's birthday yesterday.. simple, but he enjoyed it. We went out for dinner in the evening, and then he and my dad went to see Iron Man 2 (which
apparently is great!). But the highlight of the day was, by far, the beauteous cake, baked and decorated by Megan and myself ;)

Out for lunch at Zanna's

The Cake!!

Still to come.. pictures from Zimbabwe!

Happy Birthday Josh!

They're back safe and sound, and had a great time. And today we celebrated Josh's 13th birthday.. teenager at last! :)

Josh randomly requested an edited picture of himself a while back, so I made one for his birthday.. his favourite picture from Egypt :)

More pictures to come, both of their trip, and Josh's day. (we finally have a camera now that they're back! Still waiting on a charger for mine, but better than nothing :) )

McDreamy, Mumu, & Me.

I know I've been kind of crap at blogging the last couple of weeks, but frankly I just really haven't felt like it! No excuses, I just didn't want to.

Soo... moving on! The others are still in Zim, but will be back at sometime on Friday, and I can't wait. Its been fun being home alone, but I'm sick of having to worry about groceries and cooking all our meals, and cleaning up the entire house every day (well, mostly just the kitchen, we're not that messy!). I know I'll have to do all this as soon as I go back to Canada, but oh well, I'll deal! For now I'm just happy that my parents will be back soon :)

They've been having a great time, as far as I can tell. They've been texting us sporadically, and every one says that they're loving their trip. They visited Victoria Falls, which they loved, and have been visiting Kelvin and Adonis' family in Guerro and Harare (the capital city of Zimbabwe).

As for us, we've spent time with friends, and gone out a bit, but mostly just have been watching a lot of TV shows! Speaking of which, we've discovered two new favourites. Up until now we've loved and watched every episode of the OC, Gilmore Girls, The Office (US), Brothers & Sisters, and seasons 1-4 of One Tree Hill. (Frasier and Seinfeld are also great too!) Now we've found Grey's Anatomy and 21 Jump Street! I know that neither of them are new shows, but we've never watched them until now, and we're loving them. 21 Jump Street we can't watch a lot of, because it takes up so much internet to watch videos, but can I just say that Johnny Depp at the age of 24 was quite fantastic ;) Fortunately someone here has Seasons 2 & 3 of Grey's Anatomy, so we haven't had to use up internet for that. We didn't get to see the first season, but we've figured most of it out anyway. In fact, we've watched the entire Season 2 and are on to Season 3 since Monday afternoon (its currently early Wednesday evening). So, nothing too exciting, but I thought I'd share our latest addictions. Anyone else agree? :)

Also taking up a lot of our time this past week, has been Mr Mufaro Bepura, otherwise known as Mumu! This little cutie has spent a lot of time at our house with us the past few days while his mom's (Dawn) been busy moving houses.

Dawn is Adonis and Act's cousin, and she recently moved over here to SA from Zimbabwe.. and we love her little Mumu :)

He turns two soon, so stay tuned for some cute birthday party pictures! :) (PS- AGAIN, these pictures were taken on my computer, so you're just going to have to deal with the bad quality!)

And, just so that my title is completely fulfilled, here's a picture of good old Dr. McDreamy (Grey's Anatomy) ....

And just for good measure, here's one of McSteamy too ;)

hehe
